Supplying electricity to Suginoi Hotel as the first hotel power plant in Japan, located in the Kankaiji hot spring area, near Beppu bay. The stepwise waterfalls of the plant play roles of cooling towers, giving a tourism spot in the hotel. The separated water from the power plant is utilized for many purposes, such as space heating, cooling and hot water supply.
