Located at western part of Aizu basin, Fukushima Prefecture, this geothermal power plant has the biggest capacity of 65 MW as a single unit in Japan. The bricky design of main building and cooling tower harmonizes with nature. On National Physical-Education event in Fukushima in October 1995, the sacred fire was put on by the power of this plant.
